A BRONZE FIGURE OF VIRABHADRA Western Deccan, India, circa 18th century standing on separately cast base Provenance: Private collection, Yorkshire. Siva was alone in not being invited to Daksha's sacrifice, and, urged by his consort took the avenging form of Virabhadra, taking a sword to behead Daksha.
