the first with tapering fullered single-edged blade, white metal hilt cast in low relief, comprising down-turned shell-guard decorated with scrolls enclosing the crowned double eagle in the centre, quillon formed as a deer's foot, knuckle-guard and horn grip-scales, in its scabbard; the second by Wooley; the third dated 1865, in its scabbard; the fourth dated 1853, and the fifth retaining its locking ring
