The Jewellery department focuses on all types of antique, period and modern jewellery, including luxury brands, marked and signed pieces such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Andrew Grima, as well as a wide range of necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings from the 17th century to the present day.
Among recent highlights are: a 3.17 carat diamond ring, which sold for £9,000; a gold and micro-mosaic ‘Archaeological’ demi-parure, by C. & E. Tombini, Rome, circa 1870, sold for £3,200. A diamond and emerald ring, late 18th century, sold for £20,000 and a pair of diamond pendent earrings, 1880, sold for £47,000. A pair of emerald and diamond pendent earrings, 1800s, sold for £9,000.
A Cartier (Henri Picq) ruby and diamond surete pin, 1910s sold for £12,500 and an Art Deco sapphire and diamond bracelet,1930s sold for £25,000.
