Veronique was born in Paris and studied as an undergraduate at the Ecole du Louvre, Paris (History of Art, Greek sculpture and Museum Studies). She gained a place on the first year of Sotheby's Graduate trainees in 1986, and started a career at Sotheby's New Bond Street London in Nineteenth Century European Paintings and Drawings for over a decade. After completing a Master degree in Northern Renaissance, Books and Manuscripts from Birkbeck in London, she became Head of History of Art in a Sixth Form College in London, teaching the A Levels course. She was most recently a bookseller at the independent bookshop John Sandoe Ltd in Chelsea before joining Olympia Auctions in the Summer of 2025.
