Thomas Shaw-Owens worked at Webb's Fine Art Auctioneers, in Auckland, New Zealand, as Sale Coordinator for the Collectors' Cars and Motorcycles department. From there he worked at Bonhams as Sale Coordinator and later Associate Specialist of Antique Arms & Armour.
