Riona holds a Master of Arts in History of Art and Fine Art from the University of Edinburgh. She has experience across both the auction house and contemporary gallery sectors. She is an auction assistant and also an administrator in the post sale department. She contributed to the cataloguing of the Pip Rau Collection of Ikats, Embroideries and Costumes.
