Tom Mendel discusses the highlights of the British and Continental Pictures Auction

From Felix Vallotton to Otto Dix, Jean Jansem to Fortuny y Carbo, Hughes Claude Pissarro to Gregoire Michonze, European masters jostle to compete at the next British and Continental Pictures auction.

There are also works by British artists Sir Alfred East, Bryan Ingham, Alfred William Hunt and George Elgar Hicks. Tom Mendel talks us through these works; discusses the lives of the artists, some points about medium and composition, and the art historical context of the pictures.

Over 330 pictures are on view. With the many tempting pieces by well known names to bid on, Tom Mendel and his colleagues at Olympia Auctions are on hand to help with any enquiries.

The auction takes place two days later on the 23rd October at midday.
