AN ITALIAN POWDER-FLASK FORMED ENTIRELY OF STEEL, LAST QUARTER OF THE 16TH CENTURY

with tapering body of 'D' section, decorated with a diamond-shaped panel of diagonal fluting on the outer face, engraved with scrollwork on the base, fitted with engraved belt hook, spirally-fluted tapering nozzle on a hinged plate for refilling, moulded spring cut-off, and four small loops, 18.8 cm high
