the first with curved single-edged blade (some old rust patination and minor areas of pitting), hilt comprising silver-gilt quillon-block engraved with foliate decoration and borders against finely punched grounds and including pointed langets and quillons with bud-shaped terminals, gilt grip-strap and gilt copper alloy pommel-cap decorated en suite, the latter with a ring for a tassel, and chequered horn grip-scales; the second with slightly curved blade double-edged over half its length to the point (surface rust), waisted wooden hilt with chased copper alloy basal mount and flat arched pommel, in its wood-lined copper alloy scabbard (old repair) chased with foliate designs, three suspension rings, and yellow cord tassels, 80.0 cm and 24.0 cm blades
