‡ A RARE DANISH CAVALRY TROOPER’S SWORD, MID-18TH CENTURY, THE BLADE DATED 1752
with slightly tapering blade (some old wear and pitting) with shallow central fuller over its entire length on both sides, the forte on each side dated above a crowned coat-of-arms and the inscription ‘General Lieutenant Voi Isenburg Cavallerie Regiment’, copper alloy hilt comprising scrolled side-bar joined to the knuckle-guard, the latter screwed to the pommel-cap with bevelled back-piece, rear quillon with bud-shaped terminal, inner thumb-ring and fishskin-covered grip (minor old wear), 88.0 cm blade
