with double-edged blade etched in imitation of watering and with narrow central fuller over each side of the forte, fluted ricasso, iron hilt finely engraved with flowering scrolling foliage within line borders and retaining most of its silvering, comprising curved slightly down bent quillons each widening at the spatulate tip, a large side-ring above, large domed pommel of octagonal section with octagonal tang button above, and grip bound with twisted copper alloy and iron wire and retaining a single Turk’s head, in original iron scabbard decorated en suite including the standing locket, the locket and mid-section both with three prominently ‘puffed’ bands, the chape formed of graduated ‘puffed’ bands en suite to a bud-shaped terminal, the first pierced with two apertures for the by-knife and bodkin (both with some old pitting) each with riveted rounded wooden grip-scales, and beaked pommel decorated to match the hilt and scabbard, and three fixed rings for suspension on the inside. 26.4 cm blade, 44.5 cm overall
