the large seeded gilt plate with ornate foliate edges and sprays of oak and thistle, mounted with the QVC Royal Crest above two oval gilt shields, one inscribed 'NISI DOMINUS FRUSTRA' and bearing a castle, the other inscribed 'NEC ASPERA TERRENT' and bearing a pracing white-metal horse, superimposed on a blue enamel scroll bearing pierced motto, white-metal Sphinx above gilt 'XXV' and the regimental title, two hooks and two studs to reverse; together with a gilt slider bearing bay leaves inscribed 'MINDEN', 'EGMONT OP ZEE' and 'MARTINIQUE'
