of regulation pattern, with bright fullered blade double-edged towards the point (some rust staining) and etched along both sides with crowned ‘RIM’ between two panels of oak foliage within roped borders, the ricasso on one side with retailer’s details, gilt copper alloy hilt incorporating crowned anchor between ‘R’ and ‘M’, folding inner-guard, lion-head pommel with partly chequered back-piece, and wire-bound fishskin-covered grip, in its black leather scabbard with linear engraved gilt copper alloy mounts and two suspension rings, 79.5 cm blade
