with broad double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section partly below the rectangular ricasso, the latter with two down pointed side-lugs, and struck with a fleur-de-lys shaped mark on one side, hilt comprising side-rings each enclosing a scrolled fleur-de-lys, downcurved quillons each with three scrolls at the tip, fluted fig-shaped pommel, and leather-wrapped grip with central swellings, 114.2 cm blade
