A CHINESE CELADON-GLAZED 'LOTUS' BOWL, YONGZHENG MARK AND POSSIBLY OF THE PERIOD
the rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to a slightly everted rim, finely carved around the exterior in low relief with a leafy lotus scroll above a lotus-lappet band at the foot, the interior incised with a large flower head, covered overall in a pale bluish-celadon glaze, the base with the six-character reign mark in underglaze-blue, 12.5cm diameter

The sale of 170 lots comprise of a wide range of Chinese works such as ceramics from the Song to Qing Dynasty, an English private collection of jade and hardstone carvings, furniture, bronzes and sculptures.
The Japanese section includes works of art, ceramics, including a small private collection of contemporary ceramics by Kondo Yuzo, bronzes and prints. From Korea, a highlight is a Chaekgeori eight-fold screen with hidden artist seal from the Joseon Dynasty, 19th century.
