A PARIS PORCELAIN 'TURQUERIE' FIGURAL VEILLEUSE (TEA WARMER), PROBABLY JACOB PETIT, MID 19TH CENTURY

modelled as an Ottoman seated on a rock in gilt and polychrome, his green striped tunic and magenta waistcoat embellished with raised gilt embroidery, his elaborate trousers with repeat magenta ground motifs, a pair of pistols tucked in his waistband, his sword resting below, the rock open at the back, the figure detaching from the waist, his turban with tasselled red cap for the cover, 31.5cm high
