By incorporating photographs sourced from his family archive, he captures moments of joy and connection between children and their families. The detailed costumes and natural colour palettes, highlighted by his signature blue hues, aim to convey deep connections and reflections on societal experiences. Inalegwu’s art is designed to resonate with viewers, encouraging self-reflection and a deeper understanding of the issues he addresses in his vibrant, textured and thoughtful portraits.
Inalegwu draws from both African and Western influences to create vibrant textured portraits. He began his artistic practice after graduating with a Higher National Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts from Benue State Polytechnic.
