DIROM, Alexander (1757-1830). A Narrative of the Campaign in India which terminated the war with Tippoo Sultan in 1792. With maps and plans illustrative of the subject, and a view of Seringapatam. London: W. Bulmer, 1793. Quarto (260 x 205mm). Engraved frontispiece, plate, 6 maps and plans, all but one folding, engraved plate of Tippoo Sultan's Great Seal (frontispiece cropped, frontispiece and title browned and spotted, some spotting and browning throughout, some mainly marginal staining). 19th-century green half calf gilt by Higginbotham & Co. of Madras (rather worn, lower cover detached). Provenance: Palace Library, Mysore (stamp on front free endpaper); early signature erased from title with some thinning of paper; some pencil marginalia and annotation. FIRST EDITION.
