with curved single-edged blade of watered steel, hilt comprising quillon-block chased with acanthus borders against finely punched grounds and set with cut diamonds on the outside along the pointed langets and quillons, the former with a diamond set star and crescent at the centre, the latter each with bud-shaped terminal engraved with a flower-head, grip-strap with acanthus borders en suite, rounded rhinoceros horn grips, the pommel fluted at the front and pierced for a sword-knot, the piercing set with a mount on each side chased as a flower-head, in its wooden scabbard covered in black leather with silver-wire seam along the inner side and deep locket, chape and suspension mounts all with acanthus borders against finely punched grounds, two suspension rings, and retaining virtually all its gilding, 81.0 cm blade
