◉ AN OTTOMAN GUN BARREL MUZZLE MOUNTED TO FORM A MACE, THE MUZZLE LATE 17TH CENTURY
of russet iron and of swelling faceted form, the upper flat with shallow groove for sighting, and retaining some of its gold-damascened foliate decoration, mounted in the 19th century on a snakeskin-covered wooden haft of circular section, 61.5 cm overall
