ANDRE DUBREUIL (1951-2022): COUPE ‘LACRIMA’, DAUM, NANCY, CIRCA 1991
the shaped oval bowl of turquoise blue leaded glass moulded with teardrop-shaped cabochons protruding through the hammer-finished gold overlay, on a patinated bronze knopped pedestal and waved base on four tapered feet, etched to glass with the artist’s oak leaf mark, ‘’Daum France’ and numbered 3/100, 39cm long
Designed by Dubreuil in 1991 for an edition by Daum limited to a hundred examples, the Lacrima coupe was apparently produced in clear, plum or blue glass.
