circular, the cover chased with a broad band of flowers and flanking scrolls on a matted ground, the base with similarly chased sides around a vacant oval and with velvet lined interior, 13cm diameter; together with a Victorian silver toilet jar and cover, Robert Stocker, London, 1887, circular, with corded rims, the cover with domed top from a probably older piece of German silver engraved with stylised leaves between the coats of arms and names of eight German noble families, the sides with contemporary engraving of repeated wreath motifs, 8.8cm diameter; 430g all in (2)
