with sharply tapering single-edged blade of T-section along the back, pinched-in basal mount, and steel hilt with rounded grip decorated along both sides with a parcel-gilt flowering plant against a punched silver ground, the top of the beaked pommel with gold-damascened flower-head and inscription (some old rust patination and light pitting), 31.4 cm blade
